What I Wore Last Week

Hi, everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good week.

In terms of fragrance, I was a bit all over the place. We had a couple of cooler days that felt like early Fall weather. I’m planning to go through my collection soon and take inventory of some Fall favorites. But we have more hot & humid weather on the way this coming week, so we are not done with summer yet. Here’s a round-up if what I wore:

  • Monday: Carven Le Parfum
  • Tuesday: Chanel Cristalle EDT
  • Wednesday: Carthusia Capri Forget Me Not
  • Thursday: Serge Lutens Bas de Soie
  • Friday: Cognoscenti Wild Child
  • Saturday: Chanel Cristalle EDT

What I Wore Last Week

Hi, everyone! Happy August — we made it! Anything to get through this chaotic year as quickly as possible, right?

I’ve been sampling quite a bit lately (at least more than earlier in the year). I wore a few of my full bottles, but also mixed in some full-day sample wear tests. I also had a no scent day. I need to give my nose a break sometimes, especially when sampling. Here’s what I wore:

  • Monday: Cognoscenti No. 1 Bergamot Sage
  • Tuesday: Guerlain Ginger Piccante
  • Wednesday: Wild Veil Perfume Blue Topaz
  • Thursday: no scent day
  • Friday: Parfums de Nicolai Fig-Tea
  • Saturday: Caudalie Figue de Vigne

  • Thursday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT
  • Friday: Dior Privée Belle de Jour

What I Wore Last Week

Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all holding up well.

I’ve been sticking with my favorite scents for the heat. It’s been 90 degrees almost every day. Light and uplifting scents like Cristalle Eau Verte have been a must for me.

I also picked up a sample set from Cognoscenti, an indie brand from perfumer Dannielle Sergent. I’ve been sampling and did an all-day wear test of one this past week.

  • Monday: Chanel Cristalle EDT
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: Carthusia Capri Forget Me Not
  • Thursday: Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte EDT
  • Friday: Sisley Eau de Campagne
  • Saturday: Cognoscenti No. 16 Tomato & Leather

Hi, guys!

We all made it through another week. I hope you’re holding up well. It has been hot, hot, hot here! I still haven’t been leaving my apartment that often, but even just running out for errands makes you feel the heat. I’ve been wearing all sorts of summer scents to compensate.

  • Monday: Fig-Tea by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Tuesday: Eau de Campagne by Sisley
  • Wednesday: Capri Forget Me Not by Carthusia
  • Thursday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT
  • Friday: Eau de Campagne again

What I Wore Last Week

Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well and keeping healthy. I’m back on a mini-lockdown as we are still dealing with a growing number of cases here.

One nice thing that I participated in this week was a zoom session with Sarah Horowitz, one of the original major players in the American indie perfume scene. The zoom was coordinated by The Institute for Art and Olfaction. I highly recommend checking the Institute out — they are working on putting together other similar talks with perfumers and people in the industry. Sarah was a fantastic speaker and clearly so passionate about smelling absolutely anything and everything.

In terms of fragrance, I’m fully in the midst of summer here. We’ve had two 90 degree day and it’s supposed to be in the 90s for the next seven days! That’s really hot for Pennsylvania, even in July. I’ve been wearing my green refreshing scents to cope. Here’s what I wore:

  • Monday: Chanel Paris — Deauville
  • Tuesday: L’Eau Chic by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Wednesday: Deauville again
  • Thursday: Tandem by PM Fragrances
  • Friday: Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte
  • Saturday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT

What I Wore Last Week

Hi, everyone!

I hope you’re all staying safe and holding up well. We are having a small surge in covid cases here (nothing nearly as dire as in Texas and Florida) but it means I am back to isolating in my apartment. The good news is, the weather really feels summery here now. I’ve been able to get out for afternoon walks, and I’ve worn several hot weather favorites like my Tam Dao EDT.

  • Monday: Chanel Cristalle EDT
  • Tuesday: Tam Dao EDT by Diptyque
  • Wednesday: my sample of Pas Encore Nommé by PM Fragrances
  • Thursday: Fig Tea by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Friday: no scent of the day, taking a break
  • Saturday: Ginger Piccante by Guerlain
