What I Wore This Week

Hi everyone!

This is not a return to business as usual, but a new normal for my blog. I’m posting my “usual” weekly round-up now. I also have a post about Motif Olfactif, an independent Black-owned fragrance brand, in the works. Keep an eye out for that mid-week!

As for my weekly round-up, the weather was hot and humid here this past week, so I brought out all my favorite fresh and green scents. I also wore my Carven because I neglected it during springtime, or what little spring we could enjoy with lockdown. So I’m making the most of wearing it now. Here’s what I wore:

  • Monday: Fidji EDT by Guy Laroche
  • Tuesday: Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte
  • Wednesday: L’Eau Chic by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Thursday: Mon Oasis by Motif Olfactif
  • Friday: Carven Le Parfum
  • Saturday: Geranium & Verbena by Jo Malone

What did you all wear this week?

Be well, everyone!

What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. It’s Memorial Day weekend here in the US but it definitely doesn’t feel like a holiday weekend. My plans are to get out for a walk and maybe order a Starbucks iced latte, which I haven’t done in two months! Much more low-key than usual.

In fragrance news, I purchased my first full bottle of 2020: Sisley’s Eau de Campagne. Sisley had a sale back in April. I’ve never really known them to offer 20% off, so I jumped on it to purchase Eau de Campagne. It took 3 weeks to arrive due to covid precautions. I had almost forgotten about it! Fortunately, my little bottle arrived safe and sound, and I’m pleased with it! It features a stunning tomato leaf accord, and it really feels like fresh countryside air. It’s exactly what I need right now.

  • Monday & Tuesday: Fidji EDT by Guy Laroche
  • Wednesday: Eau de Campagne by Sisley
  • Thursday: Chanel Cristalle EDT
  • Friday: Timbre EDP by Chris Rusak
  • Saturday: Eau de Campagne again

What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! We’re midway through May now and I hope you’re all holding up. We had frigid temperatures here early in the week. And now it’s hot and we’re having thunderstorms. The weather is just adding to the chaos of everything!

The cold weather gave me a chance to wear my winter favorite, Burberry Brit. Later in the week, I even took a day off from wearing fragrance, just to reset my senses and my mind.

  • Monday: Burberry Brit
  • Tuesday: Belle de Jour Dior Privée
  • Wednesday: Ginger Piccante by Guerlain
  • Thursday: Honeysuckle & Davana by Jo Malone
  • Friday: no scent
  • Saturday: Geranium & Verbena by Jo Malone

What have you all been wearing?

What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms here! I will be calling my grandma and my stepmom in a little bit. Definitely no in-person Mother’s Day brunches this year.

Some good news: where I live in Pennsylvania, we are allowed to start lifting some lockdown restrictions this coming week! It seems to mainly involve more shops and cafes being allowed to open up and offer curbside pick-up. I will still be working from home for quite a while here.

In terms of scent, I went designer heavy this week. I suppose I wanted to feel a little bit fancy with Chanel & Dior while wearing yoga leggings at home. Here’s what I wore:

  • Monday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT
  • Tuesday: Belle de Jour Dior Privée
  • Wednesday: English Pear & Freesia
  • Thursday: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense
  • Friday: English Pear & Freesia again
  • Saturday: Chanel Gabrielle

  • Tuesday: Timbre EDP by Chris Rusak
  • Wednesday: Fidji by Guy Laroche
  • Thursday: Chanel No. 19 EDT
  • Friday & Saturday: Fig-Tea by Parfums de Nicolai

I hope you’re all holding up well! What did you wear?

Jo Malone Week

Hi, everyone!

Brigitte decided to do a fun Jo Malone week and I joined in with her. The only day I didn’t wear JM was on Saturday, when I wore Diptyque’s Do Son. It’s fun to do a theme week every once in awhile.

The Jo Malone theme made me realize that I miss having a bottle of Wood Sage & Sea Salt. I finished my 30 ml bottle a few months ago and haven’t repurchased. I definitely would have worn it this week if I still owned it. Maybe once lockdown starts to ease up, I’ll repurchase it as a little treat.

  • Monday: Honeysuckle & Davana
  • Tuesday: English Pear & Freesia
  • Wednesday: Geranium & Verbena
  • Thursday: Black Cedarwood & Juniper
  • Friday: Honeysuckle & Davana
  • Saturday: Diptyque Do Son EDT

The only JM bottle that I own but didn’t wear was Dark Amber & Ginger Lily. I just wasn’t in the mood for it this past week, but I’ll have to wear it sometime soon.

What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all holding up during lockdown. I was a bit all over the place this week, both emotionally and with my scent choices. I couldn’t really decide what I was in the mood for! However, sticking to a routine in the morning of doing yoga, showering, and picking out a fragrance has helped to ground me. Here’s what I wore:

  • Monday: Bas de Soie by Serge Lutens
  • Tuesday: Dear Polly by Vilhelm Parfumerie
  • Wednesday: English Pear & Freesia by Jo Malone
  • Thursday: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense
  • Friday & Saturday: Ginger Piccante by Guerlain

Hi, everyone! Happy Easter and Happy Passover, if you celebrate. My plans are to facetime with my dad over Easter dinner, so we’ll see how that goes!

It’s been another week of isolation for me. The scents I chose are a bit of a random bunch this week. Most have a springy feel to them.

  • Monday: Magnolia Nobile by Acqua di Parma
  • Tuesday: Chanel No. 19 EDT
  • Wednesday: Fig-Tea by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Thursday: Timbre EDP by Chris Rusak
  • Friday: Chanel Sycomore EDT

What I Wore This Week

Hello, everyone! I’ve now made it through week 3 of isolating. I hope you’re all holding up and getting through it as best you can. Sometimes, as I’ve found, your best in this situation just means changing into a clean pair of pajamas. In terms of fragrance, I’ve been sticking with springy scents. I’m trying to stay in tune with the season, even if I’m staying inside for the most part.

  • Monday: Capri Forget Me Not by Carthusia
  • Tuesday: Fig-Tea by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Wednesday: Le Religieuse by Serge Lutens
  • Thursday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT
  • Friday: L’Eau Chic by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Saturday: L’Occitane Verveine again

What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy. I’m onto week 3 of isolating and social distancing. Perfume has definitely been helping me keep a sense of normalcy every day. I’m making an effort to stay grounded with a daily routine (otherwise I’ll never sit down to start working from home). Putting on perfume is part of that routine for me.

I went very green and springy with my scents for this week. You can tell I’m really in the mood for sunshine and spring weather to lift the spirits! Here’s what I wore:

  • Monday: Carven Le Parfum
  • Tuesday: Fidji EDT by Guy Laroche
  • Wednesday: Chanel Cristalle EDT
  • Thursday: Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte
  • Friday: Tam Dao EDT by Diptyque
  • Saturday: Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte again
