What I Wore This Week

Hello, everyone! I’ve now made it through week 3 of isolating. I hope you’re all holding up and getting through it as best you can. Sometimes, as I’ve found, your best in this situation just means changing into a clean pair of pajamas. In terms of fragrance, I’ve been sticking with springy scents. I’m trying to stay in tune with the season, even if I’m staying inside for the most part.

  • Monday: Capri Forget Me Not by Carthusia
  • Tuesday: Fig-Tea by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Wednesday: Le Religieuse by Serge Lutens
  • Thursday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT
  • Friday: L’Eau Chic by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Saturday: L’Occitane Verveine again

What did you all wear this week?

  1. You inspired me to quit my massive sampling and focus on my full bottles and travel sprays.
I have put the following on the white shelf in my bedroom as new spring scents –
    Sunday
    Amour America Paramela
    Pure eVe
    Cassis en Feuille
    Selva do Brazil

I am leaving my usual spring scents in my basement for now.

Today I am wearing Sunday ๐Ÿ˜

    1. Well, you always do a great job of getting through your samples! Thereโ€™s nothing wrong with that. Iโ€™m having fun with concentrating on my bottles for the most part. I hope itโ€™s entertaining for you, too!

  2. Berdoues Grand Cru Selva do Brazil. I love the Berdoues bottles. We have six in our house but four are empty. I saved them because the boxes and bottles are eye candy for me.

    1. I’ve just had a look on Fragantica at the bottles. Some are indeed very pretty and worth keeping

    2. The Berdoues bottles are so cute!

I am wearing Magnolia Nobile today and itโ€™s lasted really well. Iโ€™ve actually been busy with work all day and the scent has held up!

  3. Found another bottle in the basement.
Bvlgari Voile de Jasmine. Smells more like Violet’s to me. Quite pretty.

      1. A good friend gifted me her unloved bottle. I think it was a limited edition and is discontinued. I love it. Very sweet violet rather than jasmine and quite elegant.

      1. I’ve got quite a few of them. They are cheap as chips. I like some more than others, but as a cheapie that doesn’t matter.

        1. Why did I think they were super expensive for some reason? I guess I just assume these days that anything fragrance-related is expensive!

    1. I think I have that one too. The label is too hard to read. It smells a bit like Pink Sugar and I love it.

      1. And Caitlin you can get them on Amazon for $3-5. Very inexpensive! Choco Musk is another favorite amoung perfumistas.

  4. I decided to test my bottle of Gucci by Gucci EDP in the warm weather. Wow! The guava is toned down and I am getting the tiara and honeyed musk. Love it so much better in the warm weather so it’s on my shelf now rather than in storage in the basement.

  5. Tomorrow is a dear friend’s birthday. She gifted me her neglected bottle of Natura Amour America Paramela last year so I am going to wear that one tomorrow in honor of her. It’s such a sweet uplifting citrus and herbs with a gorgeous sweet honey and paramela wood drydown that lasts for days on clothes. Plus the shape of the bottle is unusual and fits nicely in my petite hands. I am excited to wear it.

      1. It’s a rare one. My friend’s husband brought it back for her during a business trip in Brazil ten years ago. She didn’t care for it so she gave it to me. I adore it. Citrus, herbs, mint, honey and paramela wood which is indigenous to South America. The drydown on clothes is sublime. I am so grateful that she gave me her unloved bottle.

        1. Fragrantica doesn’t give the notes pyramid…just the notes. But I smell it most as it develops. The initial blast for me is gardenia. ๐Ÿ˜

  6. Kenzo Jungle Elephant
I spied the bottle in the basement this morning and decided to wear it even though it’s more of a cold weather scent.
