Hi, everyone! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms here! I will be calling my grandma and my stepmom in a little bit. Definitely no in-person Mother’s Day brunches this year.
Some good news: where I live in Pennsylvania, we are allowed to start lifting some lockdown restrictions this coming week! It seems to mainly involve more shops and cafes being allowed to open up and offer curbside pick-up. I will still be working from home for quite a while here.
In terms of scent, I went designer heavy this week. I suppose I wanted to feel a little bit fancy with Chanel & Dior while wearing yoga leggings at home. Here’s what I wore:
- Monday: L’Occitane Verveine EDT
- Tuesday: Belle de Jour Dior Privรฉe
- Wednesday: English Pear & Freesia
- Thursday: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense
- Friday: English Pear & Freesia again
- Saturday: Chanel Gabrielle
What did you wear this week?

Yay for some lifting of the lockdown!!!! I am in NY and it looks like it’s been extended to June 7 ๐ญ
I pretty much wore Brit all week and am wearing it today too. I am so smitten, even more so than when I wore it in the early 2000s.
Happy Mother’s day to everyone ๐ธ๐๐ฎ๐ผ๐ธ๐๐
Happy Motherโs Day, Brigitte! ๐ท๐ป๐
Iโm so glad youโre loving Brit! Itโs fab.
I am happy to find this blog.
I used to wear fragrance and really enjoyed it.
Then I stopped wearing it for a few years, and now I’m returning to it.
Thanks for the great suggestions. ๐ค
Itโs so great that youโre getting back into fragrance! ๐ Itโs such a fun hobby.
Yes, I agree ! I find enjoyable even to read about the different scents…๐ค
I tried to wear some iris perfumes for the NST community project, but i do not love iris that much. Even Iris Poudre by FM was only okay, but nothing more. Now happily wearing Empreinte, spritzed over the remnants of Pour La Belle.
At least you tried! We all have at least one note we donโt like that much and thatโs okay.
Monday morning with Brit ๐
Lovely! Itโs cold again here today. Maybe I will put on some Brit later too ๐
My eldest stole my Brit. Will have to get another one.
Testing St Clair Scents LE spring release Song of Aubrac. Narcissus absolute from the Aubrac region of France. It’s sublime.
Iโm so glad to hear that youโre testing the new St. Clair Scents release! So exciting!!
I broke down and ordered the sample because it’s LE. It came in last night. Tomorrow I will test Pharaoh’s Passion.
St Clair Scents LE spring release Pharaoh’s Passion. Sweet and musky on my skin. Glad I got to try these before they are gone.
And I will need to order another Brit because I am craving it. We have 20 degrees this morning! Unheard of for the middle of May in upstate NY. Although I think Brit would wear nice in the warm weather too.
Today I am wearing Menard L’eau de Kasaneka.
Iโve never heard of this one. How is it?
To me it reads musky and I love it. I eeked out one spray. I thought it was empty but guess it’s not? Hard to tell because the bottle is black. Check out fragrantica because the bottle is gorgeous!!! I also posted three photos of it in the fragram today.
Mon Guerlain EDP. TGIF
Love Mon Guerlain! You can make it through Friday!!
I did!!! Smelling delicious!! Hope you had a good Friday, Kaitlyn!!
Ugh…. Caitlin. How does spell check manage to change the spelling of your name? It’s so frustrating!!
Lol, autocorrect will change anything and everything!!
I actually didnโt wear any fragrance today, but I made it through ๐
Caitlin, glad you made it through, even though it was commando. ๐
Bond no 9 Bryant Park. It reads like a minty, icy rose on my skin.
Iโve never tried that one โ it sounds lovely! A minty rose, how interesting.
Meanwhile the notes on fragrantica list rhubarb, pink pepper, rose and patchouli. Patchouli is technically part of the mint family so that must be what I am detecting.
Now I am wearing 1000 Flowers Ode of Him. It’s smelling so good that I might just wear it tomorrow โบ๏ธ.
Ah yes, I get that camphor/mint smell from patchouli sometimes! Like Vicks vaporub ๐
