What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! I’m back with another weekly scent round-up. I went very green and galbanum-heavy this week. I want to get all my greenies in before the weather turns cool.

  • Monday: Bas de Soie by Serge Lutens
  • Tuesday: Chanel No. 19 EDP
  • Wednesday: Fig-Tea by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Thursday: Chanel Paris — Deauville
  • Friday: Fidji by Guy Laroche
  • Saturday: Chanel Cristalle EDT

I’m not yet sure what I’m planning to wear today. I’ll likely be testing my last couple of Rogue samples!

If you’re in the US, I hope you’re having a relaxing long weekend! What did you all wear this week?

  1. I love your list of greenies! What do you think of Bas de Soie? I own some of the others on your list, but when I tried Bas de Soie some time ago, I was expecting hyacinth and got iris instead!

    1. I really like Bas de Soie! But I have the same experience with it as you do — it’s iris dominant on my skin. It has a similar profile to No. 19 so it was interesting to wear them on consecutive days and compare.

  2. Wore by Kilian Love from Sunday to Wednesday. Thursday I went back to work and wore 1957 with frequent applications through out the day. End of the week Paris Deauville ( we were scent twins!) And Putain des Palais. Received a fragrant package yesterday so tested Caleche EDP and Caleche eau Delicate inspired by the Saturday question on Australian Perfume Junkies “What’s your favorite Hermes?”. Today vintage Femme Rochas and Tocade …. testing both. Tonight I will test Vaniglia del Madagascar.
Based on the Decants I received I plan on doing a Kenzo week starting tomorrow.

    1. Yummy, 1957 and Deauville!! Perfect!

Do you know what, I don’t see you mentioning Kilian as a brand very often. Are you a fan?

      Enjoy your Kenzo week!!

      1. It was actually a decant sent to me by a good friend. She thought I would like it. I found it oddly comforting. My youngest of three was dropped off at college last Saturday and I needed something comforting so I wore it four days in a row and thunked it. Guess what? My friend sent me more! Do you have a favorite by Kilian?

        1. Aww, I hope your youngest has a good year at school!!

I’ve gone off Kilian a bit. The brand just doesn’t interest me these days. I have a travel size of A Taste of Heaven, which I find similar to Pour Un Homme de Caron.

        2. Ooo! I forgot about a Taste of Heaven! I tried it years ago and really liked it. But since we have a 200 ml of Pour Un Homme that is still 2/3 full I don’t need it.
