What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! I’m back from my little vacation with my sister. We were in Newport, Rhode Island. It was gorgeous but crowded during this time of year since August is high season. My sister & I were exhausted from the sun, sea, and crowds of people.

The only perfume I brought with me was my 30 ml Wood Sage & Sea Salt. It was the scent of the trip and it went really well with the Rhode Island surroundings. I used it up so well that my bottle is almost out! I have a few spritzes of it left.

  • Monday: Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone
  • Tuesday: Same as above
  • Wednesday: La Religieuse by Serge Lutens
  • Thursday: Honeysuckle & Davana by Jo Malone
  • Friday: Ginger Piccante by Guerlain
  • Saturday: Tam Dao EDT by Diptyque

Later on Saturday, I added a layer of L’Occitane Verveine to my Tam Dao. The two layered well and the L’Occitane added just a little citrus lift to Tam Dao. It ended up smelling very yummy!

What did you all wear this past week?

  1. Oh what fun! I went to Newport in 1994 and enjoyed touring all of those amazing mansions! I went with college friends and it was a day trip so we didn’t do much else.

Last weekend I started a fortnight of Chanel! This week was Une Fleure,No 5 L’Eau, No 5 Eau Premiere, Coco Extrait, Coco EDT, Coco Noire, Chance Eau Fraiche…I know there was more but I cannot remember off the top of my head!

    1. 31 Rue Cambon EDT!!! I wore that on my son’s birthday this week! I actually stole some from his decant lol 😂
I knew I was forgetting something!!

    2. We only saw The Breakers since my sister was really not interested in the mansions, lol. I would go back myself to see more of them. It’s quite scary how the houses are right on the cliffside there!

I’m loving all of your Chanel! I’m going to wear No. 19 on the 19th, of course. So I’ll definitely get some Chanel in this week!

    3. Gabrielle!!!! My friend sent me a decant from her bottle!!! Even though it’s gotten lukewarm reviews I really like it. You have a bottle too if I remember correctly?

      1. I sure do! I like Gabrielle. Apparently there is a new flanker being launched this Fall, Gabrielle Essence or something. It’s supposed to be more tuberose-centric.

    1. Thank you, my dear! Yes, it was beautiful! I get the feeling it likely hasn’t changed all that much over the years. It was adorable and definitely lots of old architecture.

  2. The JM was a good choice. Today i thunked my Eau de Merveilles Bleue. It was nice, but i will not buy it again, longevity is abysmal….

    1. I was excited to try Eau de Merveilles Bleue but I didn’t care for it when I tested it on my skin. At least you made good use of yours and finished it!
