What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! It’s another Sunday, so I have my usual weekly round-up. We’re reaching the end of a humid heat wave here. I’ll be grateful when it cools down! How is everyone else holding up?

  • Monday: Chanel Gabrielle
  • Tuesday: Timbre by Chris Rusak
  • Wednesday: Figue Amère by Miller Harris
  • Thursday: Papyrus de Ciane by Parfumerie Générale
  • Friday: L’Eau Chic by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Saturday: Paris — Deauville by Chanel

I’m planning to be in New York for a couple of days this coming week. It will be a very quick trip, but I’m hoping I have time to do some full bottle shopping. Maybe something Chanel? I’ll report back next Sunday!

What did you all wear this week?

  1. Nice round up!!! Good hot weather scents! It’s been brutal in the Northeast!
I continued with iris this week and then segued into rose which will be continued for part of next week…so I wore Infusion D’Iris, Alahine, Fleur de Peau, Paris Venise, Fleurs de Rocailles, Parfum Sacre and also tested And the World Is Yours (although auto correct wants to say that it “is ending”LOL!), Alahine and This Grand Affair (very Shalimaresque and gorgeous). I also did a last minute day trip into the city on Tuesday as my eldest was meeting up with her college friend and I went shopping with my mother. We didn’t have much time for elaborate perfume sniffing but we did stop into the huge Sephora on 34th Street across from Macy’s and I sprayed the Jo Malone Orange Blossom Hair Mist in my hair which I could smell for hours! And sampled quite a bit at the Dyptique in Grand Central Terminal before heading home. I really liked the Eau de Menthe even though it is getting lukewarm reviews. The patchouli drydown is what I liked.
Hope you have fun in the city!!!

    1. It has been so hot & humid! It’s raining a bit right now and I’m ready for it to cool down!!

Diptyque is one stop I’d like to make in the city if I can. I briefly sniffed Eau de Minthé on paper at my local Nordies. I need to try it on the skin though. I love a good patchouli base!

I’ve had an eye on the Jo Malone Magnolia hair mist. I hope it’s as long lasting as the orange blossom!

Your week sounds delish! I hope you enjoy the rest of your rose week!

      1. Not sure if the Magnolia is the same but the Orange Blossom packed a punch.
Two more that I wore and forgot about- Iris Nobile and Voyage! Went back to APJ ‘ s SOTD thread to check 😃
