What I Wore This Week

Hi everyone! I’m back with my weekly round-up:

  • Monday: Misia EDT Les Exclusifs de Chanel
  • Tuesday: YSL Cinema
  • Wednesday: Costes EDT by Olivia Giacobetti for Hotel Costes
  • Thursday: La Religieuse by Serge Lutens
  • Friday: Tea for Two by L’Artisan Parfumeur
  • Saturday: Chanel No. 19 EDP

As for today, I’m just wearing a Bath & Body Works body mist, In the Stars. It’s a sugary amber, and it definitely fits the mood for a relaxed Sunday morning. I’ll put on something else later, but I’m not in a rush on this Sunday snow day.

So far, I’ve done round-ups of my scents of the day each week. Perhaps next week I’ll do a round-up of scents of the night? I usually take my shower in the evening post-yoga. This gives me a chance to wear samples and test out more indie and niche brands in the evenings. I’ll try it for this coming week and see if it ends up being interesting!

  1. I love the photos of your bottles! You position them so beautifully!

I did so much thunking and testing this week I had to go back to the Australian Perfume Junkies SOTD post and weed through the hundreds of comments to try to see what I wore-LOL! Let’s hope my middle aged brain can remember everything! Here it goes-

Bottega Venetta l’Absolu, Bottega Venetta, Mistral Patchouli, Casablanca, Eau de Cartier, Regina Harris perfume oil, Amor America Paramela, Annick Goutal Mangradore, DSH Tunisian Amber body oil, DSH Hinoki Massage oil, my own homemade vaniila bean/cardamom oil, Apres L’Ondee extrait, several fragrances that my girls took back to university yesterday so I had to test before they took them (Mui Mui, Prada Candy, Mon Guerlain, Meteorites,Iris Nobile, Berdoues Violette, Bond no 9 New Haarlem, Tauerville Amber Flash and Incense Flash..I know they took a lot more but I cannot remember everything!!!!) Un Air de Bretagne…I know there is more so maybe it will come to me later…I have been averaging about three scents per day..part of it is testing, part of it my skin devours scent so I can do this and part of it is I don’t want to hoard anything anymore so I have been going all out!

and one more thing we have in common- yoga!!!!

    1. I’m definitely an amateur photographer, but I’m trying to make it look nice! Thank you!

Wow, good for you for testing and thunking so much this week! I still don’t have anything to report for Thunking Thursday, ugh. But I’m hoping to thunk a couple samples this week!

Your daughters are going to be so well-perfumed at school! All I wore during college was D&G Light Blue or Burberry Brit, haha. It’s so cool that they share in your fragrance habit.

I love yoga! Yoga and meditation are the best tools I’ve found to help manage my anxiety, so I’m really grateful to have gotten into yoga.

      1. Ha! me too! yoga and meditation for anxiety! They are both lifesavers!

I told the girls to share with their friends and suitemates….so many of those girls know absolutely nothing about indie and niche so they get very excited when my girls bring their stuff back with them…creating a whole new generation of perfumistas! (my son is also into fragrance but not as crazy as the girls! He just has a few select bottles and when he thunks them he moves on to whatever I give him from my collection )

        1. I’m doing 30 days of yoga for January and I’ve managed to keep up with it so far! It’s so beneficial doing a daily practice!

Aww, that is so nice that your daughters can share with their friends! Indie and niche samples can be hard to get ahold of so that’s awesome! I’m glad your kids share in your perfume love 😊
