What I Wore This Week

Hi, everyone! I have my regular weekly scent round-up post here. We’re nearly through August and Fall is coming! We’ve still had some humid days here, so I’ve been getting more wear out of Fidji and L’Eau Chic. We’ve also had some cooler weather mixed in, which is when I reached for Gabrielle and Ginger Piccante during the day.

  • Monday: Chanel No. 19 EDT
  • Tuesday: L’Eau Chic by Parfums de Nicolai
  • Wednesday: Honeysuckle & Davana by Jo Malone
  • Thursday: Fidji by Guy Laroche
  • Friday: Chanel Gabrielle
  • Saturday: Ginger Piccante by Guerlain

What did you all wear this week?

  1. Happy to see that we were house twins on two days this week!!! It was the second week of my CHANEL FORTNIGHT and I wore lots of vintage…no5, no 22, Cristalle and then more modern Chanel in Chance Tendre. I also sampled Emeraude from both 1940 and 1960….swoon worthy! I was in Sephora on Monday and tried the new Gucci…smelled like celery for five minutes and then after that disappeared…and I sprayed 20 sprays on one spot of my arm because the first spray I could not smell anything at all.

Also received a fragrant package and in between all of that I was testing LOTS….1969, 1889, Vrai Blonde, Putains des Palais, Nea, five different Amouage, Heure Exquise, Songes, Un Bois Vanille, Feminite de Bois, Chergui , Ambre Saltan, Killian Love, etc etc…I know there’s more but I can’t remember! My arms were pretty active this week in scent!

    1. Yum, your Chanel fortnight is a perfumista’s dream!

I’ve heard similar complaints about the new Gucci. It seems more successful as a concept “Memory of an odor” than as a commercial fragrance.

  2. OOO! and I forgot that I made my very first ebay purchase! Two bottles of discontinued Pacifica scents that are really really hard to find for my daughter who loves these two. I tested them to make sure they smelled good before giving them to her to take back to college. Then I purchased two more from the same seller because she needs back up bottles, right? Also tested the new Pacifica Moonray Bloom exclusive to Target and liked it so much I bought it for her as a Christmas present. And then at the Ulta sale bought two other new Pacificas exclusive to Ulta to go with her Moonray Bloom ( Lavender Lemon and Enchanted Forest which sounds really good based on the notes…I might have to make a decant of that one before she takes it with her in January!)

    1. Ah, I love finding a good, reliable ebay seller! They do exist! I think Pacifica is a cute brand — I’m glad your daughter likes their scents!

And it’s back-to-school time, so nostalgic!
