Hi, everyone! Here is my weekly round-up of my scents of the day. The weather continues to unpredictable, but some cooler days have given me the chance to wear old favorites like Wood Sage & Sea Salt, which I don’t normally wear during the hot summer months.
- Monday: Bas de Soie by Serge Lutens
- Tuesday: Chanel No. 5 L’Eau
- Wednesday: Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone
- Thursday: Bluer Skies (Whenever You’re Around) by Chris Rusak
- Friday: Carven Le Parfum
- Saturday: Figue Amère by Miller Harris
The Chris Rusak sample is very intriguing! I’ll have a full post up soon about my discovery set from the brand. For now, I need to figure out what to wear today!
What have you all been wearing?

I am VERY interested in what you have to say about Bluer Skies. It’s been on my radar, as well as the entire brand 🙂
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I went with vintage Nikki de Saint Phalle.
Thursday and Friday Sonoma Scent Studio Winter Woods because now that a new person has bought the business I will no longer need to hoard my bottle. Caitlin, you will need to get your nose on SSS! I think you would like them (provided the new owner does NOT reformulate).
Saturday and Sunday I went with the freesia and lily of the valley goodness of Tracy Reese.
I did NOT do any thunking this week because I only wore my full bottles. I decided to take a bit of a break from my insane testing of the past two weeks! I also sent out packages to good friends so that they could experience many of what I have tested along with what I have in my collection.
Hope you have a great week, Caitlin!
Whoa, someone bought Sonoma Scent Studio? This is exciting news!! But yes, as long as they don’t reformulante for the worse. I tried Champagne de Bois ages ago and loved it.
It’s nice to take a break from thunking for a week! One thing I like about doing these posts is that I’m focusing on my collection, rather than constantly trying new things. Although, of course, I have a healthy mix of new samples thrown in there! And speaking of new samples, the Chris Rusak discovery set is fabulous so far! I need to spend more time with it though.
Hope you have a great week, too!
Yes! SSS will be back in business soon! I found out about it on Australian Perfume Junkies. I am hoping that my loves will remain in the lineup and that the prices won’t double 😉
I have been sorely neglecting my full bottle collection so it is indeed good to get back into wearing them and remembering why I love them so.
Chris Rusak sound really interesting. Maybe i get to try it some time
It is very intriguing! I’ll do a longer write-up about the discovery set and maybe you can decide if the brand sounds like something you want to try!
