- Friday: Honeysuckle and Davana by Jo Malone
- Saturday: Dear Polly by Vilhelm Parfumerie
What did you guys wear this week?
ooo! nice picks for the week!
I have been wearing lots of my samples and decants as I am seeing there is a whole lot of evaporation going on! so I started the week wearing Mona di Orio Oud, Serge Lutens L’Eau and Serge Lutens Santal Blanc for the night.
Then I got a perfume package from a good friend as a Christmas goody so I had to sample everything inside! my favorite of the bunch was Kenzo’s Jungle Elephant which I had never tried. Would you believe I wore it for several days in a row and finished the decant today? A full bottle is in my future! I also tried Symphonie Passion and l’Aromatique Kulfi and Olympic Orchards Seattle Chocolate and Burberry Britt Rythmn for Her….they were all good but the Elephant won my heart.
I love that you’re using up samples and decants before the dreaded evaporation can take over!
I have never tried Kenzo Jungle Elephant but you have me intrigued! I just looked it up on Fragrantica and — wow! Such an interesting combination of notes! Thanks for mentioning it!
I’m also intrigued by Seattle Chocolate but I’m interested in anything chocolate 😁
The Seattle Chocolate is a real cocoa…almost a dry cocoa….it’s interesting and very different from Pacifica’s Mexican Cocoa (my favorite because it combines cocoa with almonds)
Oh yum, I’m in for a dry cocoa! I’ve been craving the good old Swiss Miss powdery cocoa mix lately, haha! It must be this time of year.
and I forgot she also sent me Rose Jam Shower gel and Rose Jam Body spray so I did a side by side comparison of the Rose Jam spray and 1000 Flowers Rose Cassis Paradis as some commenters on Australian Perfume Junkies remarked on the similarities between the two.
I hear nothing but raves about Rose Jam but I’m not much of a Lush fan. I will just have to get over it and try Rose Jam one of these days!
I am going to suggest that you try 1000 Flowers Rose Cassis Paradis too as I prefer it over the Rose Jam…and while you are at it, try Reglisse Noire too! That is by far the closest thing to signature scent for me these days.
Noted! I have just written these two down!
In no particular order: Jicky EDT; Adam Levine for Her; Atelier Cologne’s Iris Rebelle, Rose Anonyme and Clementine California (all dabber vials from Advent calendar); Tiffany & Co.; Tiffany & Co. Intense.
Fabulous scents all around! I enjoy both Iris Rebelle and Clementine California. You have me so intrigued by the Tiffany Intense. I can’t wait to give it a sniff!
P.S. I love your elegant photograph of the week’s scents!
Thank you! I’ve always been an awful photographer 😁 I’ve been making more of an effort, and trying to learn photo editing software, as well.
I think your efforts are paying off!
Thank you! It’s nice of you to say so!
For the NST’s CP I wore for several days DSH’s perfumes from the YSL Retrospective collection. Yesterday for our company holiday party I wore one of my absolute favorites – OJ Ta’if. And now I need to figure out what to put on for dinner at the friends’ place. Choices, choices…
Ah, I remember Ta’if is a special one for you. I have a couple of DSH Perfumes samples on the way. Hopefully they will arrive this week and I can test some out!
I hope you chose something fun for dinner with friends!
I am looking forward to what you have to say about the DSH. I have tried several and must say they are beautiful. My favorite thus far is Ashram for it’s usage of nag champa.
